Telescopic Materials Handler

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course will provide you the skills and knowledge of operating a Telescopic Materials Handler with a rated lifting capacity of 3 tonnes or less.

Telehandlers which can lift over 3 tonnes require a Non-Slewing Telehandler High Risk Work Licence – this course does NOT result in the issuance of a High Risk Work Licence for Over 3 tonne telehandlers.

TOPICS COVERED

• Plan and prepare for telescopic materials handler operations
• Operate telescopic materials handler in line with established requirements
• Attach, secure, lift, carry and place materials to complete work activity
• Select, remove, fit and use attachments for a telescopic materials handler
• Relocate the telescopic materials handler
• Conduct housekeeping activities

PRE-REQUISITES

• Approximately 40 hours experience or a high level of competence required for assessment.

• Ability to comprehend the English language - A short literacy and numeracy test will be required

DURATION

1 full day – could be variable dependent upon applicants ability

TRAINING & ASSESSMENT

Two (2) assessments will be conducted at the completion of training – Knowledge and Practical Assessments.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATION

This course is a Nationally Recognised Training and applicants deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet-size competency card issued by Intrain National Training Academy RTO 91759.
