COURSE OVERVIEW
This unit provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a Backhoe/Loader in the civil construction industry.

- Planning & preparing
- Conducting machine pre-operational checks
- Hazard identification, assess risks and control measures
- Communication methods
- Systematic and efficient control of all vehicle functions,
- Lifting, carrying and placing materials
- Selecting, removing and fitting attachments.
- Relocating equipment
- Clean, check and maintain plant and equipment
- Clean up work area
PRE-REQUISITES
Approximately 40 hours experience or a high level of competence required for assessment.
Ability to comprehend the English language

DURATION
1 full day – could be variable dependent upon applicants ability
TRAINING & ASSESSMENT
Two (2) assessments will be conducted at the completion of training – Knowledge and Practical Assessments.
LICENCES & CERTIFICATION
This course is a Nationally Recognised Training and applicants’ deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet-size competency card.
